Jesse MacDonald
Jesse MacDonald is a multidisciplinary artist based in the Sacramento area. He does not create paintings, songs, sculptures, and Papers as separate projects—they are different ways of investigating and expressing the same life.
One Creative Life
His paintings and sculptures move between raw emotional honesty and quiet reflection. His music unfolds as long-form, stream-of-consciousness recordings—capturing thought, emotion, memory, and improvisation as they emerge. The Jesse Papers are a living record of the observations, questions, and discoveries behind all of it.
Jesse prefers to stay focused on creating rather than constant self-promotion. Protected Expression exists to manage the systems, communications, opportunities, and public experience surrounding the work—so Jesse can remain protected and rooted in the creative life the work comes from.
